Professional Development

Beyond Poverty Foundation recognises that unemployment rates for ethnic minorities in the UK remain 15% higher than the national average. Systemic barriers-from language gaps to unrecognised qualifications-often lock talented individuals out of stable careers.
We’re tackling this injustice head-on with our Pathways to Employment Skills Academy, a 12-week intensive program designed to create life-changing opportunities.
What We Deliver
Our academy partners directly with employers in high-demand sectors like IT, construction, and care work to deliver:
Sector-specific technical training (e.g., NVQ certifications in construction safety, IT helpdesk support modules)
Cultural integration workshops to navigate workplace norms and communication styles
Helping to secure interviews with employers committed to fair wages and career progression
Post-placement mentorship for 6 months to ensure long-term success
Why We’re Invested
We understand the transformative power of meaningful work. Our team includes career coaches who have personally overcome similar challenges, ensuring every workshop tackles real-world obstacles with firsthand insight.
Help fund a workshop today and equip individuals with the skills to secure stable employment and build a better future.
