Medical Care

Access to quality healthcare is a major challenge for millions living in poverty in Bangladesh. In rural areas, basic medical care is often out of reach, and the nearest hospital can be hours away, making treatment unaffordable or inaccessible for those most in need. Beyond Poverty Foundation’s medical initiative is committed to bridging this gap.
What We Provide
Free GP appointments and medical consultations for poor and vulnerable families
Access to essential medication at no charge
Psychological and mental health support to address depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress-related conditions
A dedicated team of doctors, pharmacists, and therapists collaborating with trusted local partners
Patients are assessed and treated each month by a team of four doctors and health professionals – this includes specialists in general medicine, gynaecology, paediatrics, optometry and elderly medicine
Our clinic works to address both physical and mental health needs, recognising that mental well-being is often overlooked in Bangladesh due to stigma and a critical shortage of support services. By tackling both, we aim to break the cycle of illness and poverty for entire communities.
Our Impact
With your support, we’ve already secured land and begun preparations for the clinic in Bishwanath, Sylhet. This project will bring vital, comprehensive healthcare to families who have nowhere else to turn.
